  1. Yes we are the face of the restaurant. But im not sure if is only in Houston, where i live. That the restaurants want to put the hostess as much ugly is possible. Wearing all black. With long widow skirts. Shoes like a tom boy. And tie our hair in a pony tail, additional the freaking mask. I am a nice and elegant woman. That i love to dress properly. And i have good sense of fashion. I love to dress in black and white. With beautiful bows to add more elegance to my outfits. But seems to be very hard so far for me, to find a place where i can be cute, elegant, and nice. They just want old widows looking miserables. Thats the true about hostess. PK

  2. I have worked in all aspects of food service for many years: Room Service, Food Server, Banquets etc. I am wanting a hostess job now. I believe EVERY job is important, and that the hostess job should not be minimized!

  3. I start Friday as a Host at a Italian restaurant. I'm a very shy/anxious person im hoping ill be more outgoing with this job. This video helps alot to calm my nerves some!

  4. I’ve cooked in a kitchen for a good 10 years of my life. I am FINALLY ready to move out front. For those of you who have been in the restaurant industry, there’s a big difference between the front and the back of the house… wish me luck!
