  1. Important point about Vimeo hosting- you can limit where the video can be embedded.

But the ability to extend LearnDash- because of the WordPress ecosystem is unmatched. And another important point- there is a HUGE talent base available at a VERY reasonable cost to help you with your site needs whereas other platforms (because they are not WordPress) is really a limited pool of experts comparatively.

LearnDash does have a TON of plugins to extend functionality- but I would exercise some caution- plugins can require updates constantly, and they can conflict. So be selective and limit yourself. If there was any one downside to LearnDash (and it is a WordPress issue, truthfully) is selecting too many plugins and managing them can become a Full-Time job (but again, if you want to hire a champion WP Admin to check in daily to get these issues managed, it can be done at a very affordable price.

  2. Great video! Curious re. your opinion of the importance of an integrated mobile app (like teachable). My audience is busy moms who will likely be listening thru audio while multitasking – personally I loved the teachable app for this reason as a course customer (quicker, faster to access etc). Do you know if any of the other platforms offer this or plan to? Thank you!

  3. Thank you for the information you shared. I am developing a WordPress site that has a membership site integrated with optimizepress. What do you think of OP2 and OP3? integrating with WP site? BTW, do you know anything about Groove Funnels membership?

  4. Great overview. AGREE that picking your LMS is most important. However, I spoke to a lady at ATD who said LXP is the newest latest thing. Like LMS on steroids, with links to social media, marketing, AI and more. Is LearnDash an LXP or traditional LMS and is there anything better than LearnDash, latest greatest? Thanks so much for a great overview

  5. I've watched a load of YouTube
Copy pasted tons of info into Evernote from websites.
    Then I watch your video…
    Boom!
    Really amazing content
I'm now certain of what to use for my startup, and will definitely have a look at your resources page.
    Just wow. Thanks

  6. You are funny! Minute 2:00 lol! I´m so glad you didn't cut that out on production, those are the best parts, apart from the interesting things you are telling us which btw very good, thank you, very helpful.

  7. Hi, thank you for all the information. Very complete. My question is about using learndash, and wordpress. What other things are needed to be learned, if I need to have an email list of clients? Thank you 🙂

  8. What is the best video hosting for an online course if you're a developer for self-hosting website? So im going to build my own platform/website and just need hosting streaming for videos? Not using WordPress… building in flask python api server, and my own front end in javascript html css bootstrap
