Hosting on Airbnb

This is a complete breakdown of my Airbnb Business monthly operating cost. Every month has been different so I chose one of my best months for this example. With that said I have never had a losing month since starting as an Airbnb host in 2018. Keep in mind I am a rental arbitrage host in a single family neighborhood and all of these numbers are relative to my location and situation.

  1. I’m assuming you are paying $800/mo for a 1 bed 1 bath unit, is that correct? Is it a house/ apartment/ condo? Which website did you use to locate your property? I know this is a lot of questions but I’m planning on starting this summer so I’d hugely appreciate your help. Thank-you!

  2. Thanks Robert, looking to do an airbnb in the Fort Leonard-Wood area in Missouri. This video was very informative….Ie Maybe you should support your mother inlaw by promoting her cleaning services on your listing and actually pay her. (Don't know if you are …just a suggestion) thanks again

  3. Great videos! I found a place. My question is I’m kind of nervous about how soon it will get booked to be able to cover the rent. Since I am a brand new host, would it be a good idea for me to offer the room heavily discounted to get it booked? And to get my ratings to be a super host quickly? The reason why I am so concerned is Jan-March is known as the slow season here.
