The bed sheets and key you can control, but that water heater issue was just bad luck bro, sucks they left a bad review but it is what is !
Airbnb is a great way for business however, it's not a great company to use. Please do your homework on cancellations so they wont keep your money. In addition, they dont review their properties so you may be "HAD."
Umffff! ive made enough from ^my^ Airbnb to pay for a New York to Southampton trip on the Queen Mary and spending money.
Thanks for sharing, sometimes (specially at the beginning), you make mistakes, but the best way of facing it, is just accept and apologize! most of the guests will be cool enough.. I'll have to say that, if I have a bad review, I don't take it "straight to my heart", you just need to move forward on it! If there's something you can fix, so you wont have the problem again, DO IT, but if the guest was upset, just because, then try no to take it personally!
Things happen and no one is trying to give a guest a bad experience, people need to relax a bit, there are folks who just will give a bad review for pitty things and hurt the business. Hosts are working very hard to provide a great experience and we have to be aware of mishappenings and be adults about them.
How can I get my landlord to agree with my Airbnb?
Dude get your shit together before you go on YouTube giving people "advice". You weren't even prepared for this video. Maybe if something isn't working out…maybe it's not for you
What contract you make with landlord if he gives you permission to host airbnb?
Do you make regular 1 year contract?
It is really a stupid mistakes not having a linen when your guest arrive. I am in the process of hosting and before I even start I want to make sure everything is ready and have a mind set to get 5 stars review all the way with no excuses. Just learn to be a business man dude.
Hey man. Do you have a step by step course? I'm ready to get started but I'm not confident in pitching the landlords. Can you help me out with that and also what kind of properties I should target. Thank you.
Why even have a bottom lock in the first place if this can happen?
Really great video.I have just started my journey on Airbnb it is going well. My question is should I be changing the bedding such as bed sheets, pillow case, duvet cover after every guest has checked out. Is this good practice? Also I am looking to help manage other people's property. Should I make the listing on my account or should I create a new Airbnb account on their name and add myself as a co host. Keep up the great work.
Remarkable and informative bro. Im a airbnb host in cleveland ohio under kevdog. Some guest are nit pucky and look to find things wrong to complain about. I had one complain saying my counters where dirty and floors.and they were not they were just mooped and sweeped. I have hard floors and they are hard to keep spotless . and my counters have things on them cause I live here. And have pet and need to keep thing out of thier reach. She complained cause i had my mic and coffe maker on them. Im like really. But i love being a host. And meeting all the new people from all over the world
Keep up the good work!
This is totally deceptive. There isn't one mistake given in this video even though its title is "mistakes to avoid." It's pure hype to get you to the next presentation.
Really shameful.
Change the other door knob to a non locking one. We had to do that too.
Uggh those situations suck. I do everything possible to avoid issues by having backups when I can! For example a second way for them to get into the house. I almost had an issue on my first checkin because the guest were arriving and my cable guy couldn’t come until 3pm which was the checkin time. Luckily my guests were arriving later and as they were walking in the cable guy was just leaving. I didn’t want to be advertising cable tv and then not having it for my guests!
You do change the keypad code after each guest don't you?? I hope so.
Thanks so much for sharing this really helpful info. I'm extremely new to Airbnb, so this is probably an extremely rookie question, but did you have to cover the cost of repairing the water heater, or did the landlord have to cover that cost?
Expect the unexpected when dealing with guests. Something that’s common sense for you is not common sense for them
You should totally make a video on how to make Thumbnails. Yours are on point
From one business owner to another, I really appreciate your honesty about the mistakes you’ve encountered in your business and that you were able to learn from them! Only those who fear trying don’t make mistakes
Great video as always. Thanks for sharing your bad experiences! That last one could easily happen to anyone, really any of these things. I would have not thought of the last one at all though. You deserve more views, thumbs up as always.
I love being your business partner
Great video!!! When life throws you lemons, press them and make Lemonade. Lol
